This sale gimmick will induce many to buy unnecessary things. For ex.why would you buy 3 TVs instead of 1 if the prices are low. But the fact remains that this the total cost of 3 tvs is more than that of 1 tv. This is unnecessary purcahses.

SALES PERSE ARE SUPPOSED TO MAKE U BUY THINGS... WHICH U DONT NEED ! NO ONE IS OUT TO DO CHARITY : Lets take One thing for sure, all these SALES are put up Not to Benefit U in anyway... BUT to ensure that BY GIVING U 2-3 THINGS WHICH U REALLY NEED @ 50% PRICE... U END UP BUYING 5 THINGS WHICH U DONT NEED. Thats the way they ensure that their 'Stocks end up in your 'Houses' & not in their ' Warehouses'... !

First, buying behaviour isn't always logically need based; and second, the human frailty of seeking a bargain is pretty common!! Shopping sprees are not always done to fulfill requirements - I guess all of us have done this many times. And I suspect most of us have a wee little bit of bargain hunting built into our psyche. The combination of these two are what make bargain sales a business. Also as stated by so many, Big Bazar product quality is poor to downright bad. Personally I've yet to buy anything from Big Bazar for any consideration other than price. This taken together with the aforesaid makes these occasions downright unecessary expense events.

In Big Bazaar , the quality & standard of the products is quite inferior, they are into good marketing & packaging. They display the looklike product showing the price differnce , where the customer get lured to low priced sub-standard product . the standard goods are as costly as ever, so if You are willing to buy goods low cost, low longivity of the product (i.e use n throw),low standard, then You can chant your EGO - money saved Great GAIN. But If Your heart is Not sleeping then you may hear a voice " THE SALE IS A WASTE" shut it & move On.

All the 'Big Bazar' items are very very poor quality and in the name of 'Bachat Sale', they are sqeezing out money from the customers with high profit margin.

All these discount sales and flat sales are just to lure more people, and we buy these products and we never use them and our place just looks like a stock pile of these unnecessary products and these are the marketing gimmicks for which a common man falls and buys things which are not at all needed for him in the first place...it will be just an unecessary expenses which will be beared by people..

its a win win situation.. customers get to shop for less while the retailer makes to seel more during such fests.. so most of the inventory get satiated and the ustomer gets to think he purchased a 'product' for less while he actually would not have purchased if it was a normal retail scenario.

Yes, Namrata there are genuine discount on certain items, one should be choosy & compare with the market price, quality. Yes initially they used to pass off cheap quality items, under discount sale. Normally, Branded items are offering genuine discounts on their product, because they are looking on volume sales & restructure their pricing. If you be alert, choosy, just buy what do you want, really it is a Bachat./Saving. They have also learnt by their previous experinece that they cannot FOOL ALL THE PEOPLE ALL THE TIME.

Yes, There are opportunities for buying articles which will come at a much better price when these sales are announced than at regular time. However it all depends on how well you have prepared with you needs.People should know what they need and should not buy things not necessary.

Exactly since this has become a regular affair most of the people will be waiting to purchase with their ever increasing list of items. Actually it is a win win situation for both. The customers are benefited and the company earns more profit by a larger volume sale on lower profit margin.

Big Bazaar sale is generally announced with a lot of fanfare and the Future Group promotes the sale ingeniously. The sales are a good opportunity to buy items that are really needed by the household. However, if possible, adequate price comparison of the products with other brands/stores could also be done as sometimes some products are still costlier despite the sale as compared to similar products in other stores. Further, the products available at Big Bazaar have a lot of variety. This helps in searching for the specific requirement and improved satisfaction for the customer. Thanks for the referral, Namrata.....

It depends on us. We need not buy everything offered. We have to be choosy even when great offers are made.
