I have a friend who works in PGVCL (It no more known as GEB and is divided into different regions, PGVL is for Pashchim Gujarat).. Please verify your facts before posting a question.. Why people have not raised their voice for so many years if something wrong is going on??

Here is your answer:

There are 5 cycles for billing in PGVCL...........

All Industrial connection are covered in cycle-5 and it is billed every month.......

Same as industrial-commercial connections are also billed every month.......

One more -> Three phase lighting connections(home/shop/trust/others) are also billed every month........

Our domestic single phase(home/shop/trust/others) lighting are under various cycle(1 to 4) and it is billed bi-monthly.......

Jus check back-side of bill, u get idea of block-wise rate under various categories.........

DONT KNOW WHERE(WHICH SIDE) THIS GOES: Problem is not in the billing cycle but in the dates of billing. In AP, the cycle is one month. There us at times, a delay of around another 3-4 days between two bills. This 3/4 days (10%) extra will automatically push you to the next higher slab where you pay MUCH MORE. Pushing down 10% invariably still keeps you in the central large slab. A bi-monthly billing is therefore more advantageous as the variation will be around 5%

In Gujarat State domestic or industrial bills of electricity consumed is provided bimonthly but charge for each month are not separated so surplus charge and over charge is recovered from consumer which is not valid and reasonable and also legal.This matter is for all MLAs and GEB AUTHORITY to provide exact bill as per rule.

It's syndicate of Supplier and Govt officer. customer have to pay more for them personal expense of syndicate people
