They are in the market for Technological components, high end systems etc, As a market provider for FMCG like TV, Washing machines etc. it is better they give it a miss

AS I EARLIER REPORTED THE LONG HIBERNATION IS REALLY A CAUSE FOR CONCERN. IN THE NAME OF BRAND LOYALTY ALONE THINGS CAN SHAPE UP IS ALWAYS A VERY DIFFICULT PROPOSITION. MANUFACTURES MAY SAY THAT THEY R ALWAYS ORIENTED TOWARDS CONSUMER BUT IN REALITY BUYING A QUALITY PRODUCT IS ALWAYS A DIFFICULT PREPOSITION. I THINK BPL THE MISLEADING NAME IS TRYING TO SKATE IN THE THIN ICE.

Yes I agree with you Mr.Abraham Paul. Sometimes the HR dept may not understand strategic planning & implementations and also lacks the growth vision for the organizations. This does not mean I blame the HR dept and their role is related to man power administration. Sometimes the HR dept involves in marketing & business development,[ which need more man power to convert the action plan into results,] to have cost cutting relating to the appointments. The cost control is a must for all organizations, but it should be to the optimum level as to what is important and what is not. Normally the results for the developmental work undertaken by the organizations will not be realized immediately and have to wait for a reasonable period to yield. The team members in the organizations are not magicians to bring immediate results.

i support this part because the comeback wont be easy ...as already emerging brands like LG, SAMSUNG ,SONY etc. are already having a stiff competition in the electronics market..a simple example is the 3D television market scenario...thanks for the referral Nattaraja sir....

I support this side views Ms.Meena.However, if BPL employs a well planned strategy to regain its customers base, it is possible, but it would take some time, since it has base already. The BPL brand is a very familiar one in the market. The present scenario demands to compete with the MNC products and naturally the product differentiation.

A two step success for BPL if it follows ethnicity in expansion. We cannot blame on the divergence of "Competition", because it is not the sole deciding and depleting factor. Company has to support and argue on other grounds also. Also, to clarify, market shares the same position and auction with that of "Competition". Whether BPL has enough supportive finance and ensuing prospects with budgetary control, will also help in the success of expansion...So,title search needs to be done for a summary post.

It wont be that difficult for BPL if homework has been done properly during the break. However things might appear challenging at the beginning since the current market has become very very competitive one.

Meena though I agree with your point of view but BPL has created a niche for its brands. So according to me it will not be difficult for BPL to reestablish time taken will be more off course.

Obviously , it will difficult because, competition is going high day by day that we know very well and it will high not less. As consumers demand is also changing day by day, so it will difficult to provide needs. Because BPL is just came in market by reposition or restructure, after few month scenario may be change, so what BpL will do. It become very difficult to stay in competitive market. The other thing is that new comers are also increasing day by day in market And diversification of exisiting company became fastly.Let's see what BPL will do further startegy. Thanks Ms. Meena for referal

BPL though is not active in the consumer market are OEMs for their technological counterparts. Hence they are still very much available in the market albeit in a different package and name. Also since the brand is veru popular among most Indians in the south and west, it surely will help in sustaining a small percentage of the marketshare.

Yes. BPL was one of the most trusted brands in this sector. Though they failed to retain it for a long time, their quality and reliability may lead them to succeed in this competitive market. In our home, from past 19 years we have a BPL TV which works as good as a samsung TV which also we have. Thus I feel, a quality product can always have a possession in the market.
