Bradman is the greatest, Sachin comes only second

Recently, the former captain of Australian cricket team, said that Sachin Tendulkar can come only second behind legendary Don Bradman in the list of all-time greatest cricketers. He also said that Test cricket losing out quality fast bowlers to Twenty20 format.

Now the question is, Sir Don Bradman used to play only one kind of cricket. i.e, Test cricket but Sachin has played almost all kinds of cricket and holds almost all kinds of record. In this regard, do you people think Sachin comes only second after Bradman? kindly post your comments.................

Ya...ya....There is no doubt that Bradman is no 1 batsman, Ricky is no 1 captain, Gilly is no1 wicket keeper, Shane Warne is no1 spinner, Steve Waugh is no 1 allrounder, Bret Lee is no 1 fastest bowler, Gillespie is no 1 tail ender. This is enough. Bradman is only marked as the best all time cricketer due to the outstanding record which he holds. Apart from that he is just a normal test cricketer. But look at Sachin. Both formats of the game. Almost equivalent performance. If u take away his test records he will emerge as the best ODi cricketer. If you take away his ODI records he will emerge as the best test cricketer. I agree that Gary Sobers and WG Wells were very good cricketers but its also true that Sachin is much better than them.

Its like comparing "Julius Caesar" with "Dr. Manmohan Singh"! Comparison should be done with contemporary cricketers and not the retired one! How can you compare a person who is playing for the country for three decades with the same agility, composure, class and with the true sportsman spirit!

viv richards said that., i never saw the batting of bradman.,i am just learning by seeing the batting of sachin tendulkar that's the greatness of god.. we can't compare bradman with sachin.,if we compare then sachin is legend

Don Bradman is no doubt the best cricketer of all time. As far as Sachin is concerned I feel players like Gary Sobers, Viv Richards, Ricky Ponting and Brian Lara have produced much better match winning and dominating innings than Sachin. Only count of centuries can't make him the best. Winning matches is more important than making centuries. And of course he has played mostly on flat tracks.
