Really Girish it is truely disheartening and see nobody even cares. There are poeple who have not even bothered to think in this dimension. Thanks for bringing the topic into light. There is already so many deaths because of this reason and now probably ther will be more.

I feel sorry to know this.

& feel pity on our finance minister's decision of proposed tax on diagnostic services.

Thanks for referral, Bindu.

budget 2011 came as a disappointment for healthcare on many fronts. It has a mere 20 percent increase in the budget against the backdrop of worsening public health, resulting in to high proportion of maternal morbidity and mortality. In fact it has imposed tax on various diagnostic services which will hinder the preventive care and cure. The women's health is starkly neglected and there is no fair gender budgeting done.Women are the most disadvantaged population, and the rise in cost will further restrict their access to health services. While there are increasing numbers of invisible screams due to death and illness, this budget and policy makers are busy in singing the song of growth.
