The French Parliament has approved a ban on wearing burqa-style Islamic face veils, according to reports that were released on Tuesday. The ban was made in an effort to protect French values that have disconnected many in the huge Muslim community that exists within France.

Many have said that the law should not be passed because it is prejudice. Lawmakers in the country have said that they can see why someone would believe that it is prejudice, but that they are passing the law for reasons other than race.

So users, should modern societies ban burqa?

So DEAR motherly kind SISTERS COME out from the closet and lead from the front in the world; don't hide behind imaginary timidity. Vive LA France hats off to you for catching the bull by the horn unlike worthless indian CONregress POLITICIANS WHO have spoiled the world Politics to stinking levels.

I would strongly recommend this "Ban on Burqa" as this is very dangerous, suspicious, and many people are taking unwanted advantages on the same not only on the terrorist act but on many other cheating cases which are been noted. I am very sorry to say this but when you are speaking you have to speak out from your heart see if you are very religious on all these you should not leave your country or if you want to travel across the world you have to follow the rules of other countries policies and they cannot re-write their policy in other countries rules.

WORLD is modernising it doesn't mean that you need to show off your body...Parda system may be hundred years old but it acts as self defence to women from men.Who said women are not independent these days.

I think yes. Modern world is heading towards modernization. Its of no use in continuing this medieval tradition while is against woman freedom. Parda system has been ended hundred years back. Women should be made independent today. All the societies who have banned Parda have developed in a much faster way. Also, terrorists these days use these Veils to hide themselves. So I think this tradition should be taken away.

Wearing a veil or a head gear should be a personal choice. Would the modern society ban (not reject by choice but ban) the Hat, the Topi or the sombrero or for that matter large sun glasses.

Mr Naseer, How can a Naqab protect a woman from men? After all, its also a piece of cloth!!! If a man's mind gets disturbed by seeing a beautiful face, it is his own problem not the woman's. Furthermore, those people hide faces who are ashamed of themselves and also its the sign of dependence of women and the weapon for anti social elements...Iam not against full clothes, but by showing the face, one doesn't show the body. Iam just saying she shouldn't cover her face no matter what other parts she covers.......

no amount of clothes on a woman's body can help her defend herself from men when their intentions are bad.clothes are not a deterrent for men.when they set their mind on someone, they will attack, clothes or no clothes.ur idea is wrong in the first place.u can't blame everything on women.men are responsible for the misdeeds equally.
