Can Agile methodology go along with CMMI V1.2 ?

CMMI is one of the quality framework , which is widely used by most of the IT companies for thier organization quality maturity journey. It is widely accepted that CMMI framework goes well with waterfall methodology of SDLC as all the 22 process areas are similar to Waterfall methodology soread in to verious maturity levels of CMMI.But Agile methodolgy is gaining more ground now a days due to stress on improved productivity along with quicker product/project realization. So most of the companies needs to suit this trend in thier CMMI process.

Agile can sink with CMMI framework. Nowdays most of the people speak of Agile just as a means to skip the process. But actually speaking even Agile follows process up to minimum extent with more stress on quicker product realization. May be CMMI has Project Planning itself as one process area, but Agile take it with simple sprint plan and daily stand up or SRUM meeting refering to project monitoring. So weather project follows waterfall or Agile, both suits in to CMMI as the framework does not saek on any particular project methodology.
