Can Dabangg beat 3 Idiots in overall earning...?

Salman Khan's masala movie has broken the record of Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots. Dabangg opened to Rs 14 crore on Friday, beating 3 Idiots which collected Rs 13 crore on its first day. The movie opened to full houses from the first show onwards across the country. Be it single screens, or multiplex, the audience are greeting the latest action icon Salman Khan with clapping and whistling, reports Bollywood Hungama. What you guys think whether Dabangg can beat 3Idiots' over-all earning...??

I dont think so,because Dabangg is being launched at the time of festival and its a fun-filled movie so people are watching it in their leisure time which they found due to holidays and festivals.But in over-all it wont cross 3Idiots' earning.

It has already taken 90 crores in its first week, and its the same what 3 idiots had taken in its first week.....so its going good at the moment for Dabanng...its the 2 khans who have taken the route of proper marketing of their movie...its like Aamir is a master of it...looks like even salman is following the footsteps of Aamir khan here, and with less credible movies hitting screens in this month and the following, Dabangg can beat the record here.

Dabangg will beat 3 idiots in overall earning as it's festival time for people & Salman have larger fan following than Aamir from masses.

& it's the film for mass & not for class.

& class of 3 Idiots is good & upper than Dabangg.

I can not say very sure that it will hit the box-office better than the 3 idiots. My only consideration is that, there were no other good movie at this time, audience's choice is restricted from preferrence, So, earnings may be a bit high.

I am not sure but there are chances.... coz the taste of people keeps changing every day..... So if the movie is really good it might beat the over all collection.....

The integral and core message that "3 Idiots" is how one can achieve success by pursuing excellence and pursuing one loves to do.Dabaang does not convey any such idealistic message

No, Dabangg can't beat 3 Idiots, because Dabangg is an ordinary movie but 3 Idiots is outstanding, 3 Idiots gave some +ve message to peoples, it was fantastic movie. i think we can't compare 3 Idiots and Dabangg, and i also support Mr. Dilip's view.
