Environmental issues are becoming more prominent. In past years, the Government has launched varius ACT on CO2 campaign to encourage people to reduce their carbon footprint. This has helped in launching more energy efficient products, which has changed the perceptons of Consumers and also Consumers’ priorities on what they define an ethical brand.

In my view, consumers are more worried about the price factor than such eco-consciousness and ethical behaviors of the manufacturers. This is demonstrated in a report conducted on consumer research. In effect, consumers were turning away from green alternatives in markets as diverse as those products, because manufacturers have failed to develop products that can compete on price in the mainstream market. Consumers may wish to use their product less and even purchase greener alternatives, but they are unwilling to pay excessively more to do so.
