No...not possible ! India does not have the required climate for that...neither political nor social. Our scientists are getting dis-illutioned to leave the country in the pursuit of those recognitions. India is meant for ONLY politicians, only their profession can flourish....

Despite absence of congenial atmosphere, India can certainly have its Nobel laurate as India is full of talents. India has produced enough scientist of Nobel capability. For example Dr. S.N.Bose, Dr. Meghnadh Saha, Dr. C.V.Raman et al. But it needs to create condition for their attainment. With the advent of technology, liberalization and high growth, Nobel in science can not be far off.

Hopefully Yes. We have a very good generation of talent, but the matter of exposure and channellising this talent is the concern. As someone quoted about Infosys starting to give awards for science and technology is a welcome step and we all should step forward with that encroachment and appeal. That would be the proper way to bring up the surge of hope of Indian Born Nobel Winner.

India have its own Nobel Winners in science and technology and it will be too. As new emerging face of india there is vast improvement in Research and Development Sector. Only need is FUNDING. Government should provide special fund for those research plants. so that there may produce more and more scientist who can win nobel award.

Not from Indian soil, but from overseas! Our brilliant scientists are made scapegoats in the hands of politicians and bureaucracy! On top of it, only those who have perched on top plays a crucial role in doing shadow-boxing with their own fraternity! We have created history in turning the heads of science and technology institutions into politicians!

Though technology as a whole is under developed in India but a few indigenously build machines and technologies are setting a new trend of development. India is gradually grabbing the upper hand in higher technology with the help of a few countries France, Russia etc. India have a few world class tech establishments too. But above all India is resourcefully as sound as any country in the world. In spite of a low HDI, India has produced many scholars in Science & Technology. I think the time has come to stop the brain drain so that we can produce some Nobel winner in this setup.

ITS TRUE THAT INDIA HAS HAD AN INVOLVEMENT IN
POLITICAL FUSS RATHER THAN PAYING ATTENTION TOWARDS
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY. THE BEST EXAMPLE WOULD BE THE DESIGN OF CHARLES' COMPUTER, THIS CLEARLY EVINCES THE PARADIGM OF FIASCO TOWARDS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY.

INDIA STILL HAS A LONG JOURNEY TO GO.

No, not possible. In India in every field there is influence of politicians. As a result of this the true talent suffers.Secondly lack of support/ facilities to our emerging scientists in our country, that's why they are bound to go abroad where they develop the things with the aid of proper support & facilities provided there.

No, Not possible, because we believe that Modern and latest means US or eurpoeon thoughts, US or Europeon, trends, fashions etc. Whereas out dated and old means Indian culture, Indian style and Indian thoughts. Fact is not even a single discovery has been done Europe or US. From atom to aeroplane was given by Indian. Correct medicine, correct way life was given by Indian. But we do not believe that. Thats why Nobel prize for science and technology to Indian is a dream.

instead of effort to correct our self we go on blaming political world.
