With IPL 3 season soon to launch on march 12th, IPL is just entering new horizons and has just entered the world of Social networking thorough its T20 games. Indiagames will be launching a series of web and mobile apps throughout the next 45 days. The first app, called IPL Indiagames T20 Fever, is an online game that uses Facebook Connect to allow users to create cricket teams consisting of both Facebook friends and IPL professional cricketers. The game will also include micro-transaction support, allowing users to virtually buy IPL players to improve their chances of becoming the IPL Champion.

A second, not yet released online game, called ‘IPL Indiagames 140Cricket’ will be based on a “Cricket Manager” concept and will target Twitter and Facebook users to construct and manage teams. The gaming company will also be rolling out a Facebook game as well. But Facebook which has become really popular with its social games like Farmville, Cafeworld and others will be hoping to creat buzz with these IPL online social gaming.

So, what do you think people, Will this IPL Social games be successful on facebook as Farm-ville & others on facebook?

Facebook is the largest social networking site & people feel good to play with each other on a networking site. Online gaming has already become a craze for youngsters & now elder people are falling in this segment. IPL is a very big cricket event & people go mad for it. Surely, when facebook comes with IPL games, users will be eager to give a shot to it. And not only youngsters but also elder people will also go for it.

So, I think this IPL social games will be successful on facebook.

With more than 17% of the total population of world India as one of the cricket crazy nations, I dont think number of consumers can be an issue but the product, UI and user experience will dictate the terms.

And if aal iz well yes it will rock.

I mean people who play social games in India is very less but in abroad its a big thing. In India it has a still long way to go, but I have seen many of the younger employees addicted to facebook games that Kiran has mentioned.

But that number is very less in India and India is the only country which is cricket crazy nation and anything on cricket here in India will workout fine, but most of them love to watch matches on TV and go the stadium rather than play social games online.....
