I dont think LODHA builder can do it at the moment by their own. Yes, it is possible for us (INDIA) to do that but there is no need for it. We have to be more organized & disciplined to attain & continue with that kin dof achievement. I mean i can do that as iam expose to this kin dof technological expertise.

I agree with Jyothi that it indeed may not be possible by a developer like Lodha.May be with Consortium,we can.In Burj Khalifa, their were 3 Consortiums,BSIX,Arabtec & Samsung.Apart from them we had Engineers & Architect,Hyder Consulting & Project Mgmt.with Turner Construction. So many ncredible brains working behind its success & it was done keeping Safety the Paramount thing in mind.

I don't know about Lodha developers but India presently is not prepared for this. I think we don't have sufficient technology and skilled man power in India so we need to seek the help of others which will cost us more. They can built it but its not necessary at the present time to spend a huge amount on it instead they can invest in rural development !!!

Can LODHA builders build 117 level tall building, absolutely they can. With enough funds to get the right talent the right architects and the right material i don't see a reason why they will not be able to build such a huge structure. However should they build such a huge structure in Mumbai, may be not, look at mumbai right now, if you have go to from place A to place B multiple the distance with a factor of 30 minutes, that is the amount of time it take to travel, cause of congestion and non present infrastructure. If we have a captive unit of 117 stories imagine the mess at the catchment areas, where everyone would either be trying to get into the towers or out of the towers, unless of course we can find enough land and road connections to isolate the traffic burden of these towers from the nearby roads.

whether its Lodha builders or some other bigwigs in the construction, they have to take support of international contractors for the execution of worlds tallest building. In Hyderabad they are doing a 40 storeyed building without any body's help. Yes it is possible for any one to construct 117 storeyed building but only thing we need to see the surroundings which will affect during the construction process.

Yes why not? When Lanco hills in Hyderabad is comin up for upto 90 storeyed and reliance towers in JV with sobha developers are coming up with 100 storeyes in hyderabad i think its possible. When DLF could create beautiful high rise towers (20-30 storey) for Gurgoan i think Lodha too can come up with their plan. Moreover as per my knowledge they have signed an MOU with an overseas deign consultancy firm for this project. Our country has also got one of the best structural engineers today. Also we have worlds leading ATKINS set up a centre in bangalore. Vijay mallaya has brought UB city and is further planning now to build the most luxurious residential towers in the same city.

Yes not only Lodha even some other builder & developer can buid. The point to be argued are 1. Weather they have the capability to build with competent man power & technical skills required. 2. Do they have sufficent funds to develop & execute the plan 3. Will they satisfy and abide with the required International standards & safety, Coz i India safety index is very low and human safety has low value. 4. Does the building fully commerical, mixed etc and environmental implications? 5. Last but not least, does common people afford to buy and flat.....

Yes ... some a builder or 'consortium of Builders' may make it possible for India to have The Tallest World Tower. It is our drem and we have every capability : --- so many world class Engineers, growing work force ( with menimum demand ) --- availability of world-class Building materials --- a strong economy/ growing every months --- a handsome Foreign Reserve ( with RBI ) --- world Indian business-class are aspiring to have an residence in India ............................................................... ( Dont kno anything about Lodha, their IPO drive, their real capacity & credibility etc. ... they have had a Press Conference in Mumbai to say that .... "World One" will be the third such premium housing project on a defunct mill land in the Lower Parel area, auctioned by the National Textile Corporation in 2005.
The site is a few yards away from the defunct textile mills where DLF, the country's largest developer, is building 'Mumbai's largest luxury residential project', with three towers of 90 floors. The prices would be in the range of Rs 5-10 crore. .... (copy_pasted)
