Our planet is overheated, under-resourced, and almost out of time. Different countries are doing their level best to control global warming. One of the most popular ways is Green technology. In my view, it is the path to meeting the climate challenge. It can help us to lay the foundation for lasting and widespread economic recovery. It can help us reduce poverty. India and China are "very proactive" in pursuing low-carbon technologies, including in the huge market for renewable power.

Even simple innovations, such as animal-powered electricity generators in rural India and the spread of mobile phones in Africa, can transform isolated communities, while greening the economy. Companies that will not (focus on) sustainable development are not going to be successful, because the public is changing. Agriculture, tourism, natural resources, forestry, these are the drivers of the economy today.

So users, do you also agree that technical innovation and green economies can save earth?

I agree. The more environmentally technology application is done, the more beneficial it is for the planet. Our planet is suffering because of our all kinds of anti environment friendly activities because of which the whole environment is getting destroyed. So, we must use green economies and technical innovation so that our environment is saved.

Nice topic and Ms. Singh, but i am not too much supportive of the Green technology. There is something which is much much simpler then the green technology and that is one smartness and innovative thinking. Let me give you simple example. During our school and collage days, we used to have nos. of experiment and formulas, what we used to do just copy the formula, put the values and get the result correct. Over.

I am very sorry to say that the same happen in many fields such as Architectural, Engineering, Infrastructure. All have the same school and collages days formulas and they used to just copy and paste the various formulas for basic design and get the get the result. No body practically think, whether it is workable or not ?

Here comes the smartness and innovative mind. If our design is practical, innovative with smart thought then 80% of energy is save. Rest 20% only i comsider for Green Technology.

Please i too request you all save our mother earth by innovative and smart thinking not not by copy and paste method.

Why not..... Solar evergy,CNG, Greener technologies of building homes, transportation infrastructure techniques, Car poolings, and dependence on greener technologies would really save nature..... to any extant, never mind........it will.

Are we really interested to save our earth ? If yes, why debates ?

Whether possible, now or to-morrow, Green and green techonology is the future. If we cant put in use such technology, that is a shame for us ( engineers, designers etc.). The moot question is : how we may challenge the idea of Green ?
