Yes definitely it can, but the governments will have to join hands in order to implement this technology worldwide as this technology is costlier than expected.Yet it is the one technology which can create revolution and generate enough electrical energy for the world.

I agree with you sumedh, to make this work sucessful, government has to join hands. But the question which arises is, how this is going to happen? Today world government is more busy in their politics and warfare and are least bothered about new technologies. in this situation, I really doubt will they join hands or not. Till that time, this process doesn't seem to me as a successful one...
