We see 14yr old and 17yr old CEOs butactually they shoudn't be. Responsibility before a particular age is a load which can be hard to carry . A person should climb the ladder step by step and reach to the right position because only with experience comes the sense of responsibilty and right sense of realization and true vision.

I am unable to support the other side of the argument because it asks for some age barrier to become a CEO. I dont think it requires. However an experienced person at the top most position required to run the organisation efficiently without succumbing to pressing situations. Experience comes handy to withstand the pressures and act upon with cool mind. However age has nothing to do with this if the person has the ability to respond positively to the situations and also has the ability to take decisions without sacrificing the long term prospects of the organisation.

Talent has no barriers and one who has the worth of handling the CEO position can hold the post irrespective of age. It is very beneficial to any country, if young entrepreneurs evolve at the early stage of their life as this would provide a lot of employment opportunities to many. But a CEO required to possess a lot of knowledge about the business and hence, someone is required to guide them (young CEOs) towards the successful growth path.

I don't think that age has something to do with talent. Experienced is not always better. Some person grow at very rapid speed with the passage of time doing a particular kind of work, still others saturate at the same level irrespective of the years they have been doing the same kind of work. One who is capable of learning acquires talent by just initiating. So I think it would be better to give a responsible job of CEO to a talented fresher after giving some required trainings instead of many years experienced man whose learning capacity is just saturated.

But he /she should not be given it's entry as CEO.

Well guarded and controlled responsibility to extract inherent talent should be allowed, and should not involve them in operational hazards and expose them to mudslinging exercises normally inmates of corporates do!

CEOs are the ones who are accountable for the well being of an organization and this position must be offered to an individual who is matured enough, possesses certain other criteria like experience, commitiment, proven track record. Else any person can wish and apply for this position whenever called for.We have few examples of very young CEOs around us still it can be sais that they desrve the same and do have all necessary criteria.

there was so much coverage by the media for a child driving a car in one part of the country but in another part of the country the police acted in the right manner by registering a case.  There should be restriction on minimum age and maximum age.  If maximum age restriction is put in politics also then most of our politicians should be not there in active politics.

I agree with Jyoti because even for the general purpose of voting and getting a driving license , age limit has been fixed. Because with age will come the maturity

I agree with Jyoti on this. While it is true that the position of a CEO should be based on the results he/she can deliver, it is very rare to find a young person who is ideal for this job.

Experience and history of successes is essential for that person to be handed such an important position. And that would normally come to a person after a few years in te job.

I gree with Jyoti and Tanmay here, CEO is not only the designation It comes with responsiblities which is not so easy for a school child. I appreciate there talent who recently designated as CEO, but isn't this responsiblity a barrier for better future. Somewhere this may demotivate candidate too. As they got enough in very short time...

I agree on Jyoti here. CEO should be a mature visionary apart from being a talented person. Vision of a company cannot be laid on inexperienced hands. Groom the talented of the company to create new vision should also be part of business operations.
