IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE. ONE LALIT MODI WILL GO ,ANOTHER LALIT MODI WILL COME.

Sure. Anyways IPL wasn't the brainchild of Modi. it was started by a rebel league called ICL first which BCCI didn't approve. Core cricketers should be involved in IPL committees & not people like modi.

It needs vision to start something that is new, outrageous, something that no one had ever thought off before. That job is done. It now needs to be managed only. Maybe there are better managers available. Based on the global maxim "Anything that you do, I can do better after you have done it (First)", there is a lot of learning that can be available for the new manager. Sure sleaze will still be there. Newer techniques to see that the dirt does not surface so easily have been learnt form this lesson. I think that a new manager of IPL at this stage is wanted.

It was a time when people of India used to think : -- India may not survive without Indira Gandhi -- Without Jahawarl Nehru, Dr Abdul Kalam Azad, V.V. Giri, C.K. Naidu (cricket), Dr Meghnad Saha (science), Dr Bidhan Roy ( medecine) .. .. etc. Why this question ? Is Lalait Modi bigger than Cricket or BCCI ?

Even though modi contributed alot to IPL but its not like that IPL will not survive without him. Its the money in the game that put sprit inside it

The ICL started the trend, hence to credit modi for the concept is grossly unfair & incorrect. But yes, he played a pivotal part in it being what it is, the stars, glam & now what not. But since now a can of worm has opened up on this gravy train its hard to comprehend whether the brand alone can sustain the enoromous hightes it achieved before the cork was unlid. But without modi IPL doesn't lack anything anymore as today it is a goldmine with lots of takers.

The recent controversies surrounding IPL have put a blot the image of Cricket worldwide.IPL has been a stupendous success and has raised the level of 20-20 Cricket.Shrewd cricketing brains, sound marketing strategies and a combined team effort have made IPL a global phenomenon.Once the systems are in place the show can survive irrespective of the persons involved. It is only fair that the current BCCI Administrators ensure that the off field controversies do not affect the schedule of IPL in future and the game is not affected The Show must go on.
