We are living in 21st century, the most fastest life ever. life is most competitive now. Man reaching to the stage where 24 hours is not enough for a day. Invention and usage of computer is making man more informative and get the jobs done faster. Hopefully very soon we will be ordering grocery and make payments through computer and get delivered at home. It has come to an unavoidable instrument for standard life.

It is essential as cell phone, earlier we were dependent on postal department later on on courier services and now that is also almost outdated, every thing has become so fast now it's impossible to communicate and complete the work without computer.

While accepting the argument, I would like to take a small deviation that life is possible without computer. Computers are used in our work/job related matters. Of course, computers have been increasingly utilized by all to assist our work in order to reduce the time involved to perform a work and so it is a less consumption of time. Moreover we need not use books & ledgers to main the accounting procedure and everything will be taken care by the computer when we feed the input.The distance across the country & world has become very very short due to the computers. In the inception, the type writer were used, then the electronic one and now the computers. A big revolution in fact. The usage of computers need not be elaborated here since everybody knows. However, the computers have occupied the pivotal role, no doubt about it. Thanks for the referral Ms.Mahalaxmi Subramaniam.

It is impossible to think Life without computer in the present time, All the sectors have IT support with them , and the sectors which does not have it , needs the help of computers to keep up with the race. Are u ready to stand in a queue to get your Air/Train tickets ? Are u ready to stand in queue to withdraw just Rs.200 from your bank account ? Are u ready to write a letter and walk down to the Post Office just to send your friends small messeges ? These are some day to day activities which we do with the help of computers. Now just imagine doing these every day and then going to office to work. :)

I really don't see much change in this country despite the omnipresence of computer in almost all walks of life.Infact more computerization is being thrust into every aspect of our life but despite a marvelous technology available, it does not seem to have changed thinking ways of our community.In fact the computer revolution has done more bad than good.The most dangerous thing that results from over dependence of computers is that our brain usage slows down which also results in bad memorization.While being a man from the scientific community, I still believe that we even today can do much better even without these computers.I'm seeing that more people are getting addicted to this technology which is upsetting their lives in several other ways.

Asoke ji, Nice reply. This debate is having no relevance. just for the sake of debate only. Every body knows computer is an integral part of work whether it is professional or not. Not only computer, can any one imagine now a life without a mobile. Our ancesestors were used to live without these. But in todays professional life it is essential but not in personnel life. Actualy I was not interested to say some thing in this topic, but after seeing your comment I thought to support you.
