Good debate... I totally agree with Ms. Sanjana lets be different... It is thinkable why we are following what the other countries do ? why don't we make bench mark for others.. I think we need to make our trade mark for others.. We can see chines and other south east country, they are following there culture so proudly and made there trade mark to world.. They use their mother language,  their dress. This things made them different. So why don't we try this things for our country.. In this days we are loosing our culture and we should do something to retain our culture and thing for next gen...

The Indians have no problems with the wearing of the Saree at formal functions, so why not? 'Live' examples are Air India Hostesses, IAS bureaucrats, performing artists, sportswomen, celebrities, social activists, politicians, bankers, industrialists, bio-technologists, senior management cadres, scientists, geologists, historians, chemists, zoologists, botanists, aeronautical technicians, space scientists, professors, lecturers, teachers, you name it and that profession has numerous, rather a majority who are very comfortable in sarees. So why not make it official too?

Yes, of course. Now, so many companies have made sari as their official dress. This will be followed by others very soon, you will notice this change during coming days.

I usually feel why do we have to go for a formal pant and shirt for ladies when our formal dress is saree.. In the past, working women used to stress in saree but now a days all the companies do have centralized AC then when we suggest formal dress code, let us put it strong as saree is formal dress code...what are your suggestions............ In western countries their formal dress is pant so they brand pants and skirts as their formal dress code why do we have to compromise with our culture...If we dont give respect to our culture who would give....I feel people are forgetting how to drape a saree...I feel ashamed when I see people say I dont know how to drape a saree or my ward robe does not even have a single saree in it...what does this mean...where is our culture going....lets stand together to bring in our culture into our professional environment. Only in hospitals and institutions I do find people sticking with saree as their formal dress code but all MNCs why not we start....When a Foreigner coming to india likes to be in saree why not indian....being in India...

Many managers think they have inborn quality to manage the team but it is not true, it is achieved by learning and will be improved only when we practice it. These skills are not inborn. They have to learn and keep on learning to be a good manager.
