The recent raids in Tamil Nadu yielded crores in cash and gold in 100s of kgs from various engineering colleges. Receipts for capitation fees also seized. The public is in full knowledge of the prevailing capitation fee rates in almost all colleges ranging from 3 to 15 lakhs.
