Games & Sports are for developing better relations with people. At times, even though , the political relations are strained, it is Cricket like Game keeps the people going smooth & Close. Haven't we seen PM of Pak with Indian PM here.? Are n't it paving way for better cultural relations? I mean a good mannerism to accommodate Pak. in our fold. People need to feel free to express opinion at their will, at-least , in Games. These kind of smaller things are to be thrashed out between countries through Cricket Councils / Human Right Org. / Ministry of Sports. There is no harm in developing better ties by patching up these kind of observations.

Yes there are many issues Vinisha and this is one of them.. What other national issues do you want to put forward? Isn't this about our country and one of the most crucial relationship with pak?? PoK has to be our and not their's and the leaders were arrested without any clear and valid reason...

Fine enough ! But there is a factor called democracy which the nation claims to have. It is the deviation of the same fact we should be up and shouting against..

Dear Vinisha, Not that we are "Vella" but because we care!! It was not in pakistan but in Pok which is terrible. They have no right to do so... Everyone should be given right to freedom... I did say that it is their country and they should decide but that does not give you liberty to use such words here. We are professionals and we have our own set of words for explaining things, we should stick to them.

How does it matter who cheers or who does not? Cheeering will not lead any one to win the game.

i dont know what thought forced you to ask this question. But This is not the matter of what we think. We will obviously happy if in the pakistan anyone will cheer for india. But it is also obvious that they will never happy with that. citizens of any country can not happy if the people of that country will cheer other country. So I really can only say that it is decided that they will never like the cheer for india in pakistan. However what is the reason behind asking this type of debate. i can not understand.

They have every right to make a every law against the word "INDIA'. We should not bother for that , as we are lion hear-ted & always allow Pakistani people to perform in India whether it is sport, social event, or entertainment. Thanks for referral, Himanshu.

Himanshu, you missed it again. Is it the crucial topic for you? I mean, is it really? Why have you even started this stuff, I don't normally participate in debates, discussion whatsoever bt this prompted me bcz it, at its very first place is silly. They are arresting their citizens, why should we raise a voice of concern? Let them do it. When we cannot ask them to release arrested Indians armymen then why should we bother that they have arrested some sports fan favoring India. Oh, now, please whether you agree or not, give it a break. The issue is too petty to talk. Or else, let me know the way to unsubscribe from this debate. I dont want to get mails related to this.

Freedom is not defined as per your choice but it changes with person to person and nation to nation.Though the freedom is dead in Pakistan.

Though Himanshu I agree with you but we can always protest against this. according to me it is not fair. However India will not go in distant future to Pakistan to play cricket.

How can we say this is unfair, as Pakistan is not a true democracy. Their democracy is camouflaged between their military power and their allies (USA). Unless and until we bring about better ties with our neighbour, of course not on cricket ground, but diplomatically, Pakistanis would continue to hate Indians!

The point is, Himanshu, why are we even bothering? Do we really lack the real issues in our own country that things like support or cheering for Indian team in Pak becomes a National debate!

It is as fair as, "will you keep quiet if an indian supports pakistan in an ind vs pak match" ? Every country is passionate about their home team and this is a fact we have to accept. And this passion goes beyond freedom and logic. So we shouldnt be criticising officials in pakistan for arresting people in pakistan for supporting india but yes ! we can criticise and raise our voices against pakistan for arresting people in POK which is occupied territory and whose sovereignity is still under dispute.

Why do we even bother about them? Do you seriously think someone or some country could be even as largehearted as India? I don't.You could even have frnds who so openly favor Pak. I dont call them "Kafirs" or "Pakis", for that matter! Our Hon'ble PM says that his job is done if the ties between the two countries are normalized! I wonder if we people are "vella" enf to think about them only. Its their wish, let them do with their citizen what they want.

we are no one to decide for them.. after all they think those who don't have respect for their country they must be arrested for cheering other country, it is not only in pakistan, but there are many other countries also where peoples get arrested for cheering other country...

That is the what the character of Pakistan. Yet we dont have any right to comment. Its their internal affairs. ISI backed fundamentals dictate terms to the Govt in Pakistan. The democracy is just mockerty there.
