Yes I agree with you kapil. Parents should understand their children and groom them according to their talent.

Children are under tremendous pressure in today's world due to the cut throat competition. By understanding the needs of the children, the stress can be reduced and their energies can be channelized in appropriate activities which they like to do and which have a potential for growth in the future....

Thanks for the referral, Shilpa...

As pointed out by many friends, over ambitious parents, literally torture their children.Without knowing the children`s taste, likes dislikes and over estimating the capabilities of their children, they compel the children on so many fronts. The number of children in every family coming down many have very limited or no brother and sister, and they have no one in the family to share their feelings or ventilate their grievances as in  most cases grand parents are not living with them. They get very little support from parents as both are employed.Today`s children want love and affection and warmth and they long to get the same.

To some extent it is true..Regarding my daughter, I never pushed her in studies. Whenever we get time, we play, go to movies and in addition I taught her Sanskrit slokas, Ramayana etc. While telling her that education and keeping ahead in the competitions are necessary, keeping an open mind and participating in other activities is also equally necessary. If you are not in a mood to study, leave it..you can complete it tomorrow attitude.. Fortunately, she stood first right from class 1 to Graduation and is gainfully employed in a US based company now.

An important topic. Parents, Educational Institutions,  Govt. should take care of the aspects.

Govt. also should prepare cirriculum which helps in alround growth of child.

There is a garden in every childhood, an enchanted place where colors are brighter, the air softer, and the morning more fragrant than ever again.

Childhood days could not be brought back. The competition in the outer world should not force teachers, parents deny the children rhe fragrance of childhood.

There is no cut throat competition here. It is a matter of how children spend their time and develop competitive instincts to face the reality of emerging world.

Parents while not interfering with the freedom of thought in children have to inculcate sense of discipline to become a conscientious citizens of tomorrow.
