Great news ,but needs a an introspection ..... 1)How does a country manages to do that, being most populated country ? 2)Its recent powerful display in Guangzhou Asian Games right from the opening ceremony to the performance of the players bears testimony to the fact that they are some different Whats is the difference? Its the attitude of the public ,the people residing in that country, who perceives in rather most positive manner and take the onus of each and every development therein.I mean it is the cohesive action ,attitude that transforms the nation to the path of the development ,we can be the part of such development in india by contributing in the respective fields which we are in,and always keeping a same thought at the back of our minds.

Yes,I strongly believe India have all the necessary resources to come up with this sort of idea but here in India it requires long waiting time to get green signal from ministers....

Yes....India has the biggest rail network in the world..connecting all the corners of the country, and they can easily comeup with the Highspeed rail network like China has come up now and then just design the locomotive which can carry up speeds like that...Things are very simple with the technical expertise that we have got at hand, the main difference is we do not have the clear goals of this kind to strive and achieve, once that is there in place, then everything will come good...

Very difficult, Despite being large and wide spread Indian railways relies on foreign technologies. Most of its expenditure goes to operational needs instead of expansion and R&D. Also its even possible that...aviation lobby will not let railways develop such high speed system! Besides our govt has not much willpower or conviction for such projects.

I feel really sad to disagree on this !! Simply put if we are talking about ability "YES" surely we can do this and even better. BUT Acting on this committment is far fetched dream because there is lot of policies and bureaucracy involved which will not let it happen for atleast some time in coming years.

China's commitment is different from that of India's. China's leadership is determined to make the China as super power. China has become a giant in manufacturing and technological sectors. We hardly find a leader of such a commitment in India. Our leaders are more committed on how to earn more misusing their positions. Unless we have the commitment, I am afraid, we can not do such feet even after 50 years.

Agree with Manoj, With the present ways of governance and dispensation it can at best remain wishful thinking as we are going one step forward and three steps backward. No one is interested in bureaucratic discipline as politicians are busy with moneymaking or power grabbing.

We need clear vision on what to do, how to do, why to do, and when to do and also we lack proper goal setting and implementation. The concrete planning, organizing, implementing the plan of action, and achieving the target set should be in place. Even though they are in place whether our corrupted politicians and bureaucrats will allow it to get through.... it is a greate question mark. Any how let us hope for the best... to happen... Our country is no way inferior to others... Thanks for the referral Mr. Manoj Kumar.

Yes Nitin, let the country learn to run the parliament first!! Nothing is moving!! Our lawmakers are busy in pulling each other legs to prove who is bigger in stealing how much honest tax payers' money , who can amass how much wealth of the poor country's money!! More than forty years back, there was a tussle between chairman, Railway Board, Mr. B.C Ganguly and the Railway Minister, Mr. K.L. Hanumanthya.Chairman wanted to run a Rajdhani(a new concept then) but the Hanuman wanted to run mass movement trains. The Chairman's saloon was detached from the main train near Ghaziabad to humiliate him as a revenge!!What good things you expect from the country which is headed by such Hanumans pulling each other's legs in the open view of the world over? Thanks.

According to the survey done by some French company..... In INDIA if u want to built super speed train then every kilometer track of infra will cost around Rs 2500 crores so travelling in that train will be costly and INDIA is nt developed at that stage where it can introduse these trains.... INDIA need to wait till 2025.....
