The cheap imports in every sector- toys, electronics goods, printing media etc has now reached such a proportion that we have much more 'Made in China" things than made in India things in our shops any where in the country.

these products have no safety standards, no quality controls and comes without any standard packaging with required information on manufacturing date etc. We keep on hearing of blasts in mobile phones, toys every next day. But the most important thing is the typeof financial frauds being done ...how mcuch of import duties is being cheated and what amount of money is being mde in trading..what about the tax on that?

And this is not ruining the manufacturing industry as almost all the big known houses also gets things manufactured in china and just put their brand name...Loosing jobs in manufacturing industry isn;t it?

The only good thing is-things have become cheaper. and some innovative product(sans quality) has come to the market.

Whats your view on this friends...

Hi

More than the issue of Chinese products being cheap it is he issue of quality that is paramount. Due to lax Indian laws and pathetic implementation CHinese have been dumping substandard goods into India. There are companies in CHina that make good quality too which is not cheap exactly. Instead of anti dumping duties if we make our laws and qualilty paramters western Indians will have good quality right priced products. If after perfroming on quality grounds the Chinese goods are able to give attractive price then the Indian manufacturers should take it as a challenge. Ultimately it all boils down to safety quality and then price. Let Indian companies come out safe and good quality products with economic prices and let Indian govt raise the quality bar for all imports then there would be a level playing field and only the good survive.

Rightly said Ms. Shailena Verma, our country should stop importing goods manufactured by China as not only the quality standard of the products are low but it is even hazard for help too. But one thing what China has done good is that it has shown a way to our Indian manufacturer and motivated them to produce product at a lowest possible price through new R& D. Chin has brought an innovative thinking to an Indian manufacturers that if they can do then we can do the same and produce quality products in a better way along with the after sales service. Example: Lots of Indian manufacturer has come up to offer the low cost product in the market such as Micromax, Rage, Lava, Lemon mobile. We Indian can trust more on our home products on which one can get after sales service rather then on the Chinese manufacturing products.

Yes, It is better to stop importing such cheap quality things, they may be cheap while buying, but later we will have to pay a bigsum with lack of the quality and safe standards. I have read that such toys and all cause health hazards to children, so it will be better to ban such products

Ravi good debate, yes we should stop depending on china for imports. India should develop its own manufacturing plants which reduces the cost of imports and also increases employment. This will help us to grow more faster.

Thanks......

The cheap Chinese imports should be stoped with immediate effect..If there is a need in market for the type of products that are coming from China.. some Indian enterpreuner will defintely take up production and then we can definitely keep a tab on qualitya and ofcourse stop the financial frauds being done..not to talk about jobs that it will create.

I would go for yes because both companies are customer focussed and believe in developing brands and concepts. they have done so in past though singularly. So this is perfect tie up.
