The clsoing of accounts of people who do not have PAN card number has also helped in keeping a check.

The last corrected data shows that there was 43.5lakh accounts closed and which has helped to a great extent in stopping forfeiting.

I think forfeiting has not been stopped to that extent but the business which was obtained through demat has got affected to a great deal.
