Yes it will as we all know that coca cola is a market leader in most their products. And the demand for iced tea is increasing in all regions of India. So this is the right time to enter and skim the market.....

tea or coffee will be controlled by individuals and self help group, however if Coca cola collaborate with every individual through self help group or village elders in villages, and in small towns citiY- A.B.C OR D individually with the shop owners ,departmental stores or hypermarkets, already Georgia coffee has met with limited success in cities in India. To peneterate in Indian Villages the route adopted By ITC through e-choupals has made tremendous sucess for ITC.

I would go for yes because both companies are customer focussed and believe in developing brands and concepts. they have done so in past though singularly. So this is perfect tie up.

Its existing business is doing fantastically well though they need to consider the competition put up by Pepsi...for me the strategy to diversify in other business is an advantage over their rivals. Regarding its existing business there will be no problem, the only thing is to build a strong communication channel

Corporate Giants, like Coco Cola and Nestle, should collaborate to convert the apathy of this country. Coke and Pepsi have exploited Indian Ground Water to an extent, adding essence and gas and sold and are selling to the countrymen at an exhorbitant value! They should pay very high price for such exploitation - Water is our scarce resource and they are allowed to bottle and sell at an exhorbitant rate no common man can afford to! In the name of Coffee and Tea they would add Chicory and other flavours to penetrate in the market adding great dis-service to countrymen! They should be penalised for such acts. Money is not the only differentiation factor, health (reasonable health our citizen) is every citizen's fundamental right - why force him to addict himself? Your next argument would be this gives more employment? Whatever it is, though it may look so pessimistic, we are getting ruined - Only Almighty would save this Nation from these plunderers! Environment Ministry should issue an injunction to stop exploiting ground water to these companies!

I accept your points Mr.Kasturirangan. It would be premature to think that a revolution will be demonstrated in the inception stage by Coco-cola/Nestle. Of course both brands are well known in the market and we have to wait and see their impact on account of their marketing synergy.
