Not acceptable everywhere.. Few people gain lot even without competition.. Competition , if healthy, does lead to good results but it in no case means it will always work out. A person can be hardworking and self-motivated too.. See , it completely dpends doesn't it?? :) Hunger for knowledge leads to gain of knowledge.. It can be different for you Anupam, and different for me..
