You have spoke of ability , processing power and adaptibility. As far as raw ability is concerned , the human brain , which can discover and invent , is still unbeatable. You don't have geniuses among computers. As far as processing power goes , computers have an edge because you can have a million computers with identical processing capability. The human brain is unpredictable , and even the same brain cannot be at its peak power for too long. And two human brains working together do not add up to twice the processing power , unlike computers , where massively parallel processing can complete tasks in seconds , while humans will take centuries. Adaptibility has come into computing , and computers can deal with uncertainty much better today than they could 50 years back. Given that the human brain took a million years to evolve , computers have evolved much faster , so it is difficult to predict what the computer will look like a 100 years from now.

Well Said, Mr.Kamble.............still one doesn’t know completely about human brain power ............then how can we compare it with computer ?which is made using human brain.........here making calculation, fast answer, accuracy is not the question? It’s perfectly programmed using human brain to reduce the work load and to make the work fast with accuracy........it is a machine which made by humans for our comforts. Other than the programme........it cannot extend its thinking, vision and individuality in it.

> There are approximately 10 billion neurons in the human cortex, compared with 10 of thousands of processors in the most powerful parallel computers. > Lack of processing units can be compensated by speed. The typical operating speeds of biological neurons is measured in milliseconds (10^-3 s), while a silicon chip can operate in nanoseconds (10^-9 s). > The human brain is extremely energy efficient, using approximately 10^-16 joules per operation per second, whereas the best computers today use around 10^-6 joules per operation per second. > Brains have been evolving for tens of millions of years, computers have been evolving for tens of decades

Let us not forget the fact it is a human brain which invented computer and human brains which modified upgraded computers.and the process still continues.

ya human brain is superior. and the most important part of this is the learning. which is self motivated. you want to learn or not doesnt matter you learn anything in every second. this is the most powerful part of the brain. also there is something that is hidden beyond our brain. i feel that things is soul which is giving power to brain for working. so no comparison in two things however working seems same.

Human brain is the most capable one and it is incomparable. Really, a human's maximum utilization of brain capacity is not more than 0.02%. It can be explained that, we can see the ice is floating in sea water in Antarctica. Just a piece is visible outside and if you measure the rest of the piece inside the water, some of the ice rocks is lengthier than the height of mount Everest. Out unused brain capacity is also equivalent to the invisible portion of a mountain. Any super computer, born by an idea of an inventory.

As per the current technological trends, the processing power of the computer has increased tremendously and it is bound to surpass the brain in the future in all the tasks. However, processing power is not the only capability that needs to be measured. Other factors like abstract pattern analysis, intuition, systems analysis, ability to think about its own existence, etc. can only be performed by the brain. There is no technology currently available which can match the brain in this aspect and it may also take a lot of time for technology to at least come near the brain in this matter. Thanks for the referral, Sameer...

Human brain limits can't be calculated till date. As I knew Newton uses 3% of human brain which is maximum at all. Using maximum of 3% one can utilize computer 200% as there is always scope of improvement generated by only & only brain.
