Friends as we know that every corporate company has its unique career sites. The candidates who are interested to work in that company can apply through their career site. The companies recruit appropriate candidates by seeing their resume. But I have seen many companies not responding properly to the candidates. What do you say friends, are the corporate career sites really serving the candidates?

Darshana,

I know so many companies which hire resources through their websites, Wipro, Infosys, Oracle India & USA, IBM India & USA, Accenture USA these corporates do not go through any recruitment agencies accept for their BPO recruitment.

Recruitment agencies who work for these companies they really struggle for business no hard feelings Darshana but I am pretty straight forward

Too often, many companies fail to engage candidates in ways that influence their career decisions and only very rarely do they let candidates know what to expect during the recruitment process. Corporate career sites should be customized to their target audience and manage candidates job expectations, according to technology and requirements. A positive candidate experience translates directly into more referrals, more hires, and better quality candidates. So they should impress the candidates by responding to them properly.

In real sense,Corporate Career Sites are not serving candidates.

Reasons:

1.Maximum candidates come through ERP(Employee Referral Program)

2.They don't provide personalized information to applicants

3.Lack of Hiring-innovators....

If we are uploading resume on to the carrer section,there is no response at all.

many other take profit of the system by name of recruitment. it needs a governing body.

Key parameters have to be identified to keep the applicant informed about the status through mailers.Yes the proceedures will have to change as it is not helping much

there are no such remarkable service. Very few are looking for this. it needs to be improved in particular about the the trust issue. Rarely a person can trust on these sites.

When we are talking about corporate career sites, it depends upon industry also, the recruitment methodology is not the same in all sectors, it differs from sector to sector. In some sector, these sites are helpful, but in some are not. We need to understand that as organization are working hard for their product quality & service, in the same manner, they need to work out on career sites to attract the best talent avilable in the industry. We need to make more flexible & need to do somehow marketing also of our career sites. In most of the career sites, job posted only of those which are current requirement, we need to think about the future also we should spread the word of our practices, policies, facilities, welfare activities to attract the candidates more & more. Career sites should work like job portals, then only they can compete with best.
