Yes, Its very true that corporate companies should contribute for environment. This contribution should be regardless to big and small companies. There should be government bodies looking after this contribution and should check for the delivery of this contribution to a right place.

You would be glad to know that there is a company called HarNeedi.com, India's No 1 Jobsite for Healthcare and Pharma as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility, took healthy initiative to aware citizens of India, Hyderabad about the World Environment Day and its Importance in our day to day life. Employees from Harneedi.com took active participation in World Environment Day by Distributing Plants, Paper Bags, Displaying placards with captions supporting the World Environment Day. They have organized this campaign at road site near main signals and centers of Hyderabad. Eminent personalities like Navadeep, an actor from Tollywood has also supported Harneedi.com in this campaign. Prakriti, an Environmental Society (NGO) and Niper, National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research also supported HarNeedi.com in this Environment awareness program. This move of Harneedi.com will surely encourage other corporate companies to organize such kind of campaigns in near future.

Yes, it is collective responsibility. Corporate have to definitely contribute for environment and public should feel the responsibility to protect environment.

Since it is corporate industrial houses who violate the norms of emission norms , i believe the first step should commence from corporate houses, i do agree that it is individual responsibilty too but the industrial toxication levels are much higher

This debate is not clear exactly I feel. The title and arguements are contradicting I think, but by seeing the debate sides it is not only the corporates responsibility to protect or do something for environment. it is each individuals duty. I supports what Renne has written

Its a public responsibility, CSR does not mean only corporates have the role to play. Each and everyone of us have our part to play in protecting our environment. So don't wait till someone informs you that this is your work, its our environment we should have our own concern.....
