Cricket is not just a game in India, it's a religion with no caste associated with it. But brand value of Season IV has fallen by $460 Million!!
The quick-fire version of the game launched by India aimed to give chance to domestic players and international players to play at the same platform. Skills apart, the revenue generating aspect also seemed promising in ensuring that the domestic players who play Ranji Trophy only to walk empty handed would now have a handsome package. But unfortunately, corruption has peeped in to the system that has made IPL to lose its brand value to a huge amount.

Now janlokpal bill is also passed now shouldn't there be protest against it too?

No.. There should be just removal of corruption. To ban the game will be a huge loss. We all love watching cricket banning the same will not stop the corruption.

A good topic Miss.Ravali...you, me and many among us are ready to protests but what about them(in crores),who are interested in the game and not the side shows...The real culprits will always go free, all indian history shows this..But not to worry, slowly people will really lose faith in the system . There are people who are already abusing the system and saying its all fixed.

Corruption, marketing n politics is all pervasive n ipl is not an exception.yes corruption is there in ipl n it should be protested but i want protest against coruption for the sake of protest not for the sake of publicity.corruption is there in many other small things which don't attract the eye of media, first start protesting against them then come at bigger stage

There should definitely be a protest whenever corruption issues crop up anywhere including IPL.But the show enjoyed by Millions of viewers all over the World should go on with stricter checks and penalties for those proven to be corrupt. As Anna Hazare has proved that nobody is above the system

Wait a minute. Thats corporate corruption. Corporates involved are either laundering money or not-paying taxes or people holding office are flouting rules. Govt. is not directly involved. Don't be Yes-Yes for everything. Use your brains. You might kill sports as well. We are tightening it up with lokpal already. Meanwhile people need to believe upon Govt. and Courts for the investigation that is underway. We need to be stop being cynical about everything thats making business. If its still etching you, go after movies business, Schools and institutional business, real estate business and all those public tender business that have still to see the light of ethical business conduct.

To ban the IPL is not the solution, as we all know it's all for entertainment. & the only solution is that whole process should be transparent & details such as entertainment tax, profit figures should be published after every season. I support the views of Mr. Ayan.

Leave it man. IPL is only for those guys who are rich - see the entrance tickets pricing. If the people who are ready to pay this much, why should we bother. The corruption in IPL is not from the Govt (community) resources.

Why are u guys so much worried about the corruption in IPL. It is not a Govt. Sponsored event. There are a number of Govt. sponsored projects and evnts to scrutinize and worry about.
