I think it has changed highly as one 1990 i can recall total number of passengers waiting at the airport for security check could be counted, but now its next to impossible . so i believe definitely low cost airlines has changed the mindset of Indian travelers.

Hi .....

I don't think people are more attracted towards low cost airlines, and it will take some more time to change their minds. Till now this costs are more comfortable for the corporate people and it need to come downs to reach the normal man.
