Yes I think it is the most suitable tool to maintain customer relation because it can give the history of the customer buying behaviour and to the that company can act accordingly. Because the market here does not wait for the customer's opinion it gives advantage to those who act before there customers switch.

I think if people does not understand their customers or if their customers are switching that tells that those customers are not loyal. And there are opinion leaders which make people to form opinion at such cases CRM or any other tool does not work.
