Santosh I don't think so......

Giving death sentence to one will not help to eradicate terrorism. A terrorist is not afraid of death so this does not mean we have won. We should try to find the root cause for terrorism and solve it, which is the true victory........

Punishing will not stop people from becoming terrorist or stop their attacks..... :)

So people think...... wht can be done....

He should not be hanged. He should be left in the midst of the people and allow them to kill him without using any equipment. That's fitting to such a terrorist.

I agree with you sulagna, this is the beginning and not the end. Kasab death sentence is a way to show commitment against terrorism. Terrorism, naxalites attack... all are pulling back our country growth steps. Its the duty of all countrymen to support govt to fight against these problems and build a strong and fearless India.

Giving death sentence to one is not the solution and does not mean that we won fight against terrorism. A terrorist is not afraid of death because his brain is washed and he is prepared in such a way to face any punishment. Until unless we find out the route cause and destroy it war against terrorism can not be won.

It will be win against terrorism when sentencing to Kasab will eliminate terrorism by root. Kasab is the only a pillor of terrorism, not the whole building. We would have to demolish the main building of terrorism. That will be done when we all INDIANS will fight against it by heart & soul.

Spending money in crores to run the trial on Kasab for months, who (I feel) does not have any human emmotion. A person, a terrorist who does the massacre and was involve in killing 166 innocent people... was this death sentence is enough for him? To make him guilty we spend crores and waited for months. Is this is our win on terrorism! Still it is not clear when he will hanged. There is pretty famous quote " Jab sher (Tiger) adamkhor ho jaye to use goli mar dete hain"... insaan ka kya? We keep them alive to kill other people. These terrorist are not simply a murderers, but they are killing humanity...they are killing love... We take lot of pre-cautionary measure to fight against swine flu but what about terrorism. We still debate about terrorist human right, who does not think before killing kids, women, old age guys... They spread a dangerous virus named as fear and insanity, if it is not going to stop now it will destroy our beautiful world. We all have to raise our voice against terrorism quite strongly. "We must be the change we wish to see in the world." Love India, Love world.

NO. This is because these proven terrorists are still languishing - enjoying in Indian Jails. Kasab, I understand has a better standard of lining in jail than most Indians in the lower middle class strata. Not to mention the crores than thd country is spending daily for his protection. Ditto Afzal Guru. Ditto xyz. Ditto abc. These terrorists should be summarily executed. THIS will end a message to terrorists that if you get caught you can get killed. In some recent movie that I saw brings out this point very clearly. Hero and assistant have captured and bound a Pakistani terrorist who is at their feet. Assistant asks boss: "Sir, what is your biggest grievance/sadness/sorrow today. " Hero answers, My biggest sadness is that I am not a Pakistani, born in Pakistan. Why? If I were I were a Pakistani, and this chap was an Indian, I could have shot him dead, with no questions asked, and possibly a big medal for me, and a smaller medal for you. But this is unfortunately not the case. We are Indians,. We have to hand this ^^^%*&^&*(& to the law. There will be a trial which will take 2-3 years. He can apply for bail. He can have a better standard of living in jail than what you and I are having now ........" Best Solution is shoot and shoot to kill

The death sentence of Kasav conveys our messages to those who back, trains and send  terrorists in India in  particular and the world in general.

Further, we have shown the world our patience in trying Kasab in our courts of law. He was given all facilities to defend himself ( Saddam Hossein was hanged without sufficient trial and proving his crime ... !)

Our fight may not end till we cure the root cause. A constant 'dialogue' between the two border countries is the need of the hour.

................   All round 'restrains' are required at this juncture as was shown by Taj-hotel Management and staff when Death-sentence was announced. We want to be different - ours is a civilised society - we want peace to prosper rapidly. This century is ours. Disgrantled people may not stop us.

Completing a fair trial against "Kasab" was only done to show that "Terrorism has lot to do with Pakistan" otherwise he too cud hv been killed as an encounter der itself. Kasab's conviction should be used as an weapon to create pressure on Pakistan from the international community to halt terrorism.

No way...

Can we re-define who are the terrorists and how many terror outfits are there in our country?  Check the list below (reverse order - Highly first) :

1) Ploitician

2) Communists

3) Bureaucrats

4) Educationalists

5) Money Lenders / Banks

6) Communists

7) Babu-dome

8) Builders

9) ...etc...

Who is going to hang these ones...He was prepared to death...Kasab had bad luck, He survived...Kasab dies or lives, it does not matter at all...

I am sure the war agains terrisim has not been won by awarding Death Sentence to Kasab.

In order to find the root cause of terrisim there are persons with high ego are responsible we should identify them and eliminate them one by one.

As I feel this meanance is there to stay for some time since it is difficult to eradicate completely but yes this meance can be definitely reduce wi9th time.

There is no second thought that the death sentence to Kasab was the appropriate punishment, but terrorism is like a ocean and we have just removed a drop out of it. The ocean continues to exist and needs massive attack against it. The saddest part is that it has become a game of brain wash and common man is the supporter as well as victim.

Terrorism is not produced by a single day, or single incident, it is due to the long run a variety of matters - Poverty, Exploitation, government rules, cast/division system etc... If we kill the people like we killing the animals with the arguments that they invading to our farm, cottages, by forgetting-or try to misleading others- we are invaded to their habitat, and excel them from their origin, It mean we neglecting others and not allowing them to have their rights.

We required strong action against terrorism, not incidental/oblique ........

death sentenced to one terrorist is not a solution of this problem. This problem is some were else. see he is going to died after seventeen month but he had come for here to get shot on the same day its we are who save him, war cannot be win by killing opponent. kasab is just a pity minded boy who did what he had been told. If we can give death to that mind which is behind the people's like kasab we can say proudly that we won the war against terrorism. Jai Hind

Kasab is just an ordinary mis-guided pawn in the larger picture of global terrorism. Putting him to death is not going to change much or anything. What we need is to revamp our security mechanism at state, regional and national levels and work on our intelligence sharing and gathering system without prejudice. Then we need to look at our own judicial system and correct lapses in collection and processing of evidence, improve and  re-write policies and procedures while protecting the public's privacy and civil liberties. What we have always been and will be is at best, reactive unless the government sits down and reflects on the existence of a real threat to the country and not just challeging and facing up to the probability of a bombings and killings in diverse cities in future.

no fight against terrorism is not won. because giving death sentence to kasab will not lead us to root of terrorism. we need to find the main source of terrorism in order to completely wipe out terrorism, instead of giving death sentence we should use kasab as a key to unlock real face of terrorism. i mean to say that if we hold tail of snake we can find the head of snake and cut its head then whole body will be dead automatically

"if all war's would have been put to an end where will the soilders go to" Kasab is just a mere low life in this whole thing if we as indians would have guts we could have sent special forces to capture criminal's like dawood and masood azhar but we can't because in our ters burning a low fry people like kasab means a win for our judicial system he would have guessed it the day he joined the terrorist group i challange the government of our's if they have guts bring people responsible for 1993 blasts to india and then hang them as they did to KASAB till then there is no such winning over terrorism

I don't think so because its not only the Kasab but many other people involve in such kind of cruel acts. Either punishment has to be given to all of them or some strict measure to control such activities should be taken. To fight against Terrorism each one of us has to help the Indian Police force & Indian Army. We should not keep our eyes closed & mouth shut. We should become strong enough to stop such people from wrongdoing.

If I were a Hitler , all captured ,are out at the same moment. Alas, unfortunately I am not so. I can not say, terrorism won or defeated. All ,including judiciary & governments ,are more concerned in proving & establishing to the world that they have a strong democratic norms working, rather than, pinpointing the black goat & punishing them. His appeal & clemency to president are ,still, pending.    Even, every thing goes well, there are so many in the wait-list. By the time, every body changes, I mean, political leaders in India & World. People are to decide ," is it worth to carry out these kind of dramas?''. Its, only to a select few group who indulges in barbaric activities, get warned off indirectly. Or else ,no message is carried out by these verdicts.

For that time only he should be punished.

A death sentence to Kasab is only a death of a person. This will only passes the message to the world that we are fighting against the terrorism. But actually this is not true, because we all fights for name, fame and the power, who may be against it or in favor. No one wants to close the door for terrorism forever, because they all have their heavy interest (investment) in it (for profit). Why terrorism is a buzz world today, because we did not work for hunger, poverty, exploitation, bad-health, bad-education, child labor, injustice, unemployment, pollution, population properly in our past. Terrorism takes growth by these minerals. So stop these minerals to dry up the tree of terrorism. Keep healthy nations worldwide.

I am not agreed that Death sentence to Kasab - Fight against terrorism is won? This will only give a moral supports to those who had lost their husband, children, father, mother and friend / relative but not the mental satisfaction.

No, No and No.

India ke pass Law hei, judiciary hei, systems hei, news and media hei, human rights hei, at least kuch to sensibility hei ….

Pakistan ke pass guns hei, bandook hei, thoop hei aaur religious fanaticism hei, goonda army and ISI hei, kangaroo korts oops courts hei, fanatic rights hei, etc. Judiciary, courts, systems, fair play, etc. – what are these. We know better and are successfully mass producing killing machines. Even well educated folks from well to do families are joining us. You think you can stop us by hanging one bugger ….. hahaha what a joke…. That’s what they are thinking

Now, coming to talk about it. Kassab dint show any remorse or dint cry as made out initially by the news report (According to PP Ujwal Nigam). He came here to die and he got what he came here for. Only thing is that he has killed several people without any conscious. The hang man must do a slow hanging, i.e., he must lower Kassab very slowly. If he opens the trap door fast then the Kassab will drop, his neck would break and he would die instantly – no pain. By slowly lowering him, his neck bone would not break, his wind pipe would be tighten slowly cutting off the air supply slowly. He would die a horrible death. Someone must explain to him (every day) this method of hanging and how the person suffers before dying. Keep playing periodically some kind of screeching noise in his cell till the day he is to be hanged. That is the only way he shall beg for mercy and maybe start thinking that he did a wrong thing coming to India.

Yes, the war against terror, appear to be a very, very long-drawn one and punishing one or two - through due process of justice - just means our own sane, democratic processes are still working.

These stray incidents are neither going to stop mad-men from behaving irrationally and indulging in mindless mayhem nor the civilized societies are going to stop hoping for a saner world.

not yet, there is a lot to do. there are more kasabs being manufactured across the border. we cannot sit back on this. we have further strengthen our borders and security to the major cities and sites in the country. every citizen should be careful of his surroundings and report any sort of doubrful activities observed. it is not just the soldiers with uniform, we the citizens are also soldiers protecting our premises.

the war is far from being over, the death sentence is somewhat a means to pacify us and make us think a proper justice is matted to terrorism. But at any given time no one can even count how many Kasab-s are moving around in the nation, forget the world wide scenario.

Proper justice can be delivered if we can rise above the political bar, else no option is there but to suffer.
