A simple corollary. Decision taken to evict sleeping protestors in the wee hours in Delhi was a decision taken without emotions! Many authorities are facing the music in the Apex Court, and they have already faced the outcry from the larger sections of the crowd in the country. Another paradox. Decision to hang Ajmal Kasab should have been taken with knowledge and corroborative evidences alone, minus emotions. Here, in this case, decision making happened with both emotion and knowledge, the case is hanging and the state is paying through its noose for keeping him alive. Therefore, decision making is situation and circumstances-driven. There is no perfect yardstick to follow is my humble opinion. Thanks Diya for referral.

Emotion and Knowledge; both is required to take a right decision. Even in Six thinking hat technique the red hat brings out the emotions part of the discussion to be analysed / addressed / considered.

Actually it should be knowledge plus rational thought since emotions only contribute to clouding your mind. Knowledge plus a rational approach helps in arriving at the right decision. Thanks for the ref Diya.

ITs Decison taken by emotions is like decision taken by heart, where as decisions taken on the basis of knowledge is decision taken by brain.
