There are many designer wears for adults but children they are sometimes not considered while coming to designer wears.

Will there be any takers for designer wears of offspring?

Very inetersting topic. I believe that there will be huge demand for designer wear for kids. If the parents are buying such stuff, why wouldn't they buy some for their kids too? Many things which were concieved for adults are now permeating into lower ages (cell phones for example). There is also a trend of many products going kids-specific (foods, cosmetics,etc).

I believe the only reason stopping such a market is the absence of big brands promoting such items. Most of the market is governed by lesser known companies with no big PR campaigns for their products. Once a big brand starts promoting kids designer wear, I am sure that it will pick up steam (atleast in urban areas).

i think now kids also play an important role in consumption behavior.they are also conscious for their living pattern .as Sir  manu said if the big and famous companies will start to promote special brand for kids ,it must make impact on other companies. the company like Raymond, the textile major in India provides a special apparel brand outlet- Zapp specially for fashion conscious youngsters between the age group of 4-12.but for most of the companies ,it is taken for granted  to pay attention to kids in market.

Yes Manu is right here, and today even kids are going for brands these days, when most of  their parents buy these stuff, even kids want the same,so there is a huge market which is there to be tapped, as you can easily make out kids specific stuff that is out there in the market, if effectively one targets these kids there is so much benefits that one wouldn't have imagined for...

There are going nowadays. Firms like Lilliput are taking greater hike in the designer wears.
