Many say that if you have start early then you can achieve it much easily & faster. But there are thousands of cases where many people who didn't even knew what to do but came out to be very successful in their life.............
So,it really make any sense to set career goals early??
I think so but it is based on what we faced in life.More over continuous learning is great investment in education goal. By

The goal is like a future, it will hit the net or the post like in the game of football depends on how tricky u can be and how much practice you have been doing prior to the match. So learning and finding new ways to learn and teach yourself and others can be very helpful but success will be achieved will depend on your luck too...... By

YES, but only if "One is AWARE about who she/he is ?" i.e. Self aware about one's "JOY " and follows it. I m sure you must have seen 3 idiots . Its easier for me to explain what "JOY" is by refering this movie I.E.- " How ONE of the threesome changed after he was helped by the othe two to become self aware and finally followed his JOY-wild-life photography as a career ( We often refer JOY as "Passion" ) By

A career is one which gives you satisfaction. If chosen early and is right, then its all goodie-goodie, but hasty decisions if taken at an immature age could ruin life as well as happiness By

I don't agree with Sheetal here. It is true that if your focused in earl stages of life then it becomes easy for anybody to move towards it. Your efforts are streamlined & you achieve your targets easily.
employers don't expect you to knock their socks off or hit homeruns during those first few weeks. Most employers realize that there is a learning curve for most positions. So, there is often an unofficial grace period while you settle into your job. By

You take your own time to think on it. but you have to keep faith on your self and have to make planning and Action on your goals. becoz it is not only imp when you set it but also how you act on it and in which direction it is also imp. By

only goal setting can't assure great career, many other things are also required along with that like defining the path, speed, short term goals, regular analysing & reaction according to analysis results of short term goals, focus.
Regular analysing & reacting accordingly is very important after analysing you may have to improve your speed or may have to slitely change your path -- etc.
While setting every short term goal, the failure modes required to identify. So ultimately lot of things are there only goal setting is not sufficient.
Once a reporter asked Sachin when he started to play at the age of 17 years " what is your goal in your near cricket future?". Sachin said "the next match". So if anyone succeed in his/ her life he have to plan short term targets. There are many situations comes as a barrier in the student life which haunts their long term career so step by step moving forward in the best way for success for a students's career. By

You cant decide whether to major in Marketing or Finance evn after attending a few classes in B school, with what input the person decides his career... he can at best have a range of possible careers ( I am strictly basing my argument on Careers in General excluding sports) ... when you are aware of things and life you really want to live ... found your calling thats when u decide your career ... it is also said a man changes his career three times or more successfully. I can give you examples of that. being focussed and preparing yourself to hit teh right button when your hearts wins over ur head .. thats the career u have to choose API Psychometric test are just eye openers.
I don't think that will help everybody. It is evident from almost all the big leaders in every industry that they have changed their goals with time, Moreover only Entrepreneurs in every field are successful and we can't predict what area will give us new Idea to start an entrepreneural Business. Hence I am against it but yes some principles like hard work and focus on your short term goals is must to succeed in any area...! By

GOAL SETTING IS ONLY PLANNING.MORE IMPORTANT IS ACHIEVINGIT IS MORE IMPORTANT AFTER COMPLETING THE ACADEMICS HOW THE INDIVIDUAL IS ABLE TO TRANSLATE WHAT EVER LEARNT INTO SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION.THE SET GOAL.WHAT WAS RELEVANT AT THE TIME OF SETTING THE GOAL MAY NOT BE RELEVANT BY THE TIME IT IS ACHIEVED.THERE MAY BE MANY CHANGES IN THE ATTITUDE,TASTE,TEMPERS OF THE INDIVIDUAL.
as all knw early goal career is mainly decided by parent bt mostly they did nt thinked weather the child is interted in it or nt. & finally the child get confuse in it. so really early career goal does nt work By

Not really.... Vision may be the same... but early goal setting is not the true reflection of future. One can desperately change their strategy with their resources in terms of experience & competency and the opportunity.that's the right step. By

people naturally feel, 'well planned' things do set future right. but,the right focus of present alone helps us and not the right pre plan. By

Mere career goal setting itself does not help anyone. It depends on the personality to make use of the situations that come in his way of life. Sustained efforts with dedication to reach the goal is always required.
its totally depend on how we have relation with HR ,main members of director board.I know so many people working for long years in same level.Surprised to c those people continuing the same company even after they are negleted.Things is like that if you are able to make happy the higher level people we will have a great carrier .
No but it helps you to think about future after all it's life, if you don't' plan earlier you may loss in this competitive world By

It depends, sometimes it may be or it may not be. It relates to the cycle of circumstances through which one travels in his life. Sometimes the focused way helps and not possible in certain cases as one has to encounter a lot of obstacles in his life period which makes the derailment.
Setting up a early goals and achieving it are two different things. Sachin Tendulkar is an exceptional. 1 in 1000. What about remaining 999. Success is the jouney and not the destination. One should keep on giving the best shots of his/her life... keeping their head on their shoulders. Every Ball is an opportunity... Now it is upto you whether you want to make it 6, 4, 3, 2,1 or Dot or Out. Great Career lies in grabing the right opportunity at right time... Cheers!!! By

Not really, if you are setting your goal without assessing your inclination then you can be ripped apart in your midlife realising that your goals weren;t really set for the path you wanted to take. So you gotta assess your inclationations and likelihood of continuing in that direction before setting your goals. (It is like going back to the basics of identify then set goals) By

I think great future will depend on, how many thorns are layed in ur path and how wisely u take decisions at every step of ur career in future........Suraj.!
I don’t think that staring early means you have a great career future. A lot of instances people have started out early only to discover that they are not happy /successful doing what they started at and have taken up entirely different career option late in their life which turned them into successful individuals.
When I say “successful” it does not only implicate that the person has recognition or is monetarily well off, a successful person also means s/he is mentally satisfied with the career.
Office Etiquette or Office Manners is about conducting yourself respectfully and courteously in the office or workplace I have noticed that as we go from college to the real corporate world it is hard to get used to a different environment....
