Productivity bonuses have been around for a long time– the concept dates back to the days when manual labourers who were paid by the hour would earn extra money for producing extra within that time.As far as companies are concerned, bonuses and incentives are given to employees for several different reasons– to reward good work, to create an incentive and to reduce costs. Many employees see things differently– a bonus is their fair and expected reward for working hard and bringing in money.

So, I want to ask the users in this platform, according to them, do incentives exist to reinforce staff commitment to consumer satisfaction?

This is definitely one of the methods of keeping employees motivated, and a reinforcement. It depends on one's attitude whether to choose the option or not! Very rarely the opportunity is left unexploited and that is why incentives are widely used as a monetary tool for motivating employees.  It should however be related to the measurement of Customer Feedback, which makes them strive towards ensuring excellent service.

Yes ofcourse, anything paid as a reward for excellent performance is a great motivator. However incentives should be given on time and as promised otherwise in may result in the employees striking back.

Surely this process will be a very successful one. The employees, just for the sake of incentives will increase productivity in their quality of jobs which, overall will increase in the better service to the customer.

Meena is right to an extent.

Sales guys seek gratification in terms of payback for the efforts taken and methods applied to reach the targetted bottomline. Not that deduction takes place if the target is not achieved, but the risk of loosing a job is much greater and scarier than deduction or demotion!!

Customer support is INGRAINED into a Sales personnels head as he knows that the only way he can get what he is expected to deliver is through his CUSTOMER and not through monitoring or tampering the system. He is subconsciously geared to SERVICE his customers so customer satisfaction is his key to achieving targets anyway. Cash incentives keesp him motivated to do so. Sales isnt exactly a high paying position in the hierarchy and it is this gratification that keeps people in Sales. Thanks for the referral Resmi :)

Not necessarily.I am not against of giving incentives, but I just want to say not all employees will be motivated by this method. Also, this process will work out for some time but in the long run, only taking care of work motivational environment and employee requirements will work.
