yes....many times, in many organizations I have seen...HR Function/Dept is still perceived & considered as non core - support - non revenue generating function...& HR Persons as overheads.....

Being most integrated, important & critical function of any establishment ..HR evolves & involves in each n every   aspect of business....however it has not its due importance...E.G. In comparison with Marketing or/and finance professionals - how many HR Professional are leading Organization as CEO, president , MD.....number is negligible.....

Sad but true....need to change this picture....soon...it will change for sure....

No tht was the case earlier today HR department has a major role to play in organizations. They have control over all the departments and started involving in the decision making process too.
