Such Ads have become a menace these days. Women / women-groups should protest. All directions, directly or indirectly are towards women / women bodies to augment sales of an item ... quite often items offered in the Ads have no connection with women. These people know sales ... only sales.. sales of commodities ... and in the process ... make "women and children a commodity" ... all are saleable ... !! (( This is 'consumerism' .. stupid .. U .. dont know .. ? )) For escalation of sales, the ad agencies ( copy writers, art directors, artists etc ) are using women and children to convey "sensuous" materials. The product owner company is not only looting our pockets but also damaging the delicate fibres of our society. The damages are two fold. Why censor board, there is a Body of Ad-makers who self regulate themselves. What for they exist - only to look after their revenues ? Or to negotiate two conflicting Ads where interests of two members clash ? Such ads are targeted towards the "decession maker" of a house-hold which is generally the 'male-member' - in some cases the children and female member also have a say what is to be purchased or what may be the soft drinks. And .... they fall prey to the Ads .. some feel-good picture ... feelings ... cheap invitations ... etc ... etc .... !! We should completely ignore the product or the Brand which utilizes cheap 'materials' for their ads. That only may be the 'reward' for the Brand and brand-owners. Ads relating to AIDS awareness or Family Planning may not fall under these category.

Kmayani I agree with you, nowadays many ads are using womens to attract and pull the crowd. The two ads which you mentioned and many others use womens where womens are not actually needed. This is creating a negative impact on the women society. Thanks......

Totally agree with sashi's comment, it certainly creates insecurity among women, the ads are telling this is the way you should be, and this is hurting their confidence..

whatever we saw around us, we expect the real life to be like tht, as in movies a superstar adopt a new hairstyle and then common people copy tht style in their regular life. so it is strongly recommended for all th people and professionals related to imaginary world whether its ads, movies or tv, to consider this fact while creating an imagination to sell a product. because if one will show a women a super-women or a normal women as an extra ordinary women, the common women are going to follow it, not the whole of them but a good proportion of them....

According to me Ads featuring women plays on female insecurities mainly. By using women in consumer advertising, advertisers clearly link identification as a successful woman with consumption. This is a particularly hampers people who lack the funds to feed this consumptive habit. Through its near relentless focus is on ideal type models, advertising also pressurises women into conforming to a “perfect” body. This increases the likelihood of eating disorders, as well as the pursuit of unnecessary cosmetic surgery, anti-ageing treatment etc. So it has a negative effect.......

Do popular ads with Men having six packs or men swamped with girls around - do they have a negative effect ? The objective of the ad is to create an aspiration , fuel the desire so to speak. The product gets associated with the satisfaction of that desire - thats how the demand pull happens. Now is it wronfg in creating such aspirations ? When a 100 people aspire for something very alluring but not easily achievable there are chances that 99 will fail. thats part and parcel of our ecosystem or whtever you call it. Saying , the images in the ads have a negative impact would not be right . Actually it is the otherway round . The ads take advantage of the nascent desires and aspirations and fuel them using these images. The key is that these are perfectly normal desires all ready extent. So Can we find fault with the ads?

To me there exists an understanding that what is depicted is not necessarily a mirror reflection of real life, so Women welcome such pictures or Ads as a way of affirming their own focus on certain elements of aesthetic attractiveness and atleast dream about having a good lifestyle which is being shown in these Ads......so it has no negative effect as such....
