Do Retail investors consider Equity as a better investmen avenue ?

Retail investors who park their money for wealth building but market's volatility afraid of safety of their money value. Even they are not much aware of market volatility and changing global and economic policies. So, they are uncertain ( no one certain) of their return due to less participation and understading of economic activities.....If it favors they go more long otherwise for in short due to word of mouth ( less self understanding) and global cues...So still they restrain from trading as per data released by NSDL which says there are 118 million Demat are opened but only 8 million are activated........
