Yes it is must they carry their companies brand to make better sales. Sales is all about how you carry yourself before others/clients.......

It is not necessary for a sales professional to carry the brand with him. The individual credentials like his way of approach, presentation ability, attitude and confidence of the professional can really get him the business, with the brand business will become better. Mr. Biswajit has explained the same in a different manner. he is telling about only the IT sector, the same people can they go without the brand name and sell the product. It may little difficult. 

A SALES PROFESSIONAL is one who should improve the credibility of the BRAND not take shelter with it.

The ability of sales person to carryout his work judiously make the  sales person build theimage for himself which I follows him like brand for himself.

However carrying the brand image for himself depends on how unbiased he is when he handles small or big customers and service them.

I congratulate the initiator of this topic   for taking up this subjectand support vipulji for hi8s rear view.

I agree with you that they should not take shelter in the Brand image but if any one is trying to do so then the Brand itself wouldn't allow to do that. Do a think that if a Sony or Samsung Sales Professional ever will be able to deliver the Brand if his attitude is not as the Brand?

 

Otherwise HP, IBM or Dell would never be so choosy to pick their people.

Hi

Yes to some extend its creating when we are talking about a new or re-establishing brand but if the brand image has been created so far and now just enjoying the royalty then its foolish to create it again. For example Intel, Dell or TATA people need not to create the Brand again.

Yes Sales peoples do create BRAND for the Company. For Example if you ever meet with Intel, Microsoft or HP Sales Person then you will understand that they do carry the Brand itself with them...their Looks, their Way of talking, their Attitude... everything will tell you that they belong for the brand ,otherwise people from other low cost brands, are also selling their products without having such Unique points.

Sales person are creating a brand and they are not carriying .carrying it is a easy job while creating is some what difficult so to my opinion if we carry a brand a brand can suceed for awhile
