There are people who still do so otherwise the line wouldnt be long outside their embassy. Either it is for work or for study. The dream of making it to the big apple still lights a sparkle in many an eye.

The dream has changed geography. Now all that is available in India - great pay package, facilities. Dream has just taken an Indian libaas - dream is still the same - today India has high end apartments offerring uniterrupted power, telecom connectivity, best of best malls & luxury brands, individual freedom, so why America? Plus you are a first citizen here.

I believe that as a good citizen of our country one should first look to build one's one country first and not just go to a foreign place and work there just to become more rich in shortest period of time. Isn't it a kind of betrayal to our own motherland just to achieve our own mean goals in career. At least one should show some minimum sympathy to the land where he/she learnt his/her first word in life. After that when he acquire higher qualification, then is he/she become so aristocrat that he/she can't do a job by staying within the country?

Yes It is not for money but the Population density is very low in US compared to India. As a result there is some level of basic honesty as far as common man is concerned. Relegious descipline may be another matter. However America may not be that good instead why not Norway , Sweeden etc which ranked 160 and above among the failed Nations ranking may be better places. Our main problem is EVer increasing Population the rest of the problem here is created by the population.

i think over a decade India will be the leaders in everything in terms of HR including pay packets. Those say they have come back for family actually now feeling that they may not get a job of their choice with pay. In fact they may not get a job at all and with the behaviour being received as second class citizen but natural Amrita Indian dream will come true.

The gap between India and America is now filling. India is developing very fast. so, every one want to stay here, to follow our culture, to take one opportunity .... So, the situation has taken reverse turn. thats why its a great Indian dream rather than America.

American dream is on the wane. Though some people ar still chasing it. Certainly attraction is less now. Earning level and quality of life is increasing in India towards leveling the gap. It is always better to be in your own country in familial bond unless opportunity cost is very high

yes amrita i agree with your version with alittle bit of mind set and confidence to creat a new history we can invite othercountries to follow suite once we work with determination to bring economic upheavel by innovative means . ouyoung generation have aiready proved they have the capabilities to outsmart those americans given an oppurtunity toexpand andexperience vital changes that impact cross culture human challenges. it is everyone, ambition and dream to make ourcountry more resourceful having broken the barriers in a small way. yet we have to sail in troubled waters to make these dream come true as our population and minorities who change the destination by crooked mehodolgies and unscrupulous means and goverment watching unable to act upon these vultures corrupt people.

Uncle sam's dadagiri or chachagiri is over. The halcyon days of the so called americanism has been usurped by the emerging giants. America is trying to polish its old shoes and show the world as its glory but other nations today are creating their own images and establishing superiority.
