We post updates on our Facebook profiles, we keep on twitting things all the time. This leaves us with less time for actually socializing. A latest book tittled "Alone Together" Prof Turkle from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) argues that despite the advent of social networking sites and text messaging our intimate relationship with technology has not translated into closer personal relationships between fellow humans.

What we crave for is the " need to feel needed". The virtual world is taking over our minds. So do these sites really make you feel more lonely at the end of the day?

Psychologically meeting in person gives a great sense of satisfaction. Togetherness, echoing one's concern openly, sharing one's sorrow, melancholy, and happiness, all these happen only when we meet in person. We are becoming too mechanical, building small nests and confining ourselves to a limited option!

No because we are lonely so we are passing more time on internet searching for interactions and combatting our loneliness.

Even though I log into facebook everyday and chat with long lost school friends I still feel there is a lot missing. Personally I feel if you have to compare, chatting online is just 1% of actual face to face conversation. Talking to a person in real world is so much fun then these social networking sites.

It will definitely leave you alone if you stick to it whole day.

By enjoying for few hours in the whole 24 hours will never make you alone.

And when one begins to feel by doing social networking he/she remains lonely then there is a critical time to think at what extent he/she is doing social networking.
