Yes

"Because Election is the major event for politicians. Opposition parties want elections as soon as possible. Maybe the next turn will be theirs to make money. The amount of money spend by political parties is more than expense bear by Govt. Inflation is the gift for Indians after every election."

So we should look upon this issue seriously......

This seem to be a problem for most countries. Too much money is spent on elections by the government. The ruling party also use government fund/facilities for their campaigns and make it appear as though it is fully party support funds.

yes definitely if they allot it for the right purpose like advertising the good things and making the people aware about the current political situations it is good but using it for other illegal purposes is not at all good and supportable

No, Because we the people of India do not vote on performance and party line.

1. 40 % do not vote.

2. 30 % cast vote for money, liqour etc.

3. 20 % cast vote in favour of those who do maximum show off, which not possible without money.

Rest is 10%

Means most of us cast the vote because of money power.

I may please remind all : Govt. and Political Party is a different concept. ..  ..  ...   ...    ...   ....

We remeber what T. N. Sehon, Ex-Election Commissioner of India had told once :

Democracy is a costly proposition .... expenses are must. .. !   Meaning : there may be less expenses in : Monarchy, Military(junta) rule or in autocracy. At his time, for the first time, Voter Identity Cards were arranged in India.

....................................

Cant follow why expenses by E/Commission and Govt., for arranging an Election  is treated as political partys' expenses by some intelluctuals here . These are done through the whole five yrs to keep things ready.

Expenses by Govt. ( mind : Election Commission is an autonomus body, some inllectuals may treat it as Govt. though ) are made to arrange security while election is heing held  ...   India is a vast country.

Thanks for the referral Mr.Asoke Kusari. i accept but spending lot of money by govt. during election can not avoided. One reason that the govt has to give proper security arrangement for our costly politicians who are under threat. Moreover the govt. has to take some precautionary measures to avert booth capturing by the bad elements due political rival among politicians.

Hence spending more money during elections becomes a necessary evil.
