Not exactly, but yes we need to be connected through these networking sites, and it makes connecting people with whom you share common interests. The platform is so beautiful that you are getting everything there, from relevant ads to relevant communities or groups and also relevant discussions happening. And people would like to share manythings at a time and social networking sites have given that platform to users and thats why we are seeing sites like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Toostep doing really well for that matter...

there are countless social networking sites that claim to build a person's personal and professional network, but at the end of the day, how much we communicate within our own network. its a common practice to add new people to friend list and forget it...

I AGREE WITH YOU. OF COURSE WE DO NEED NETWORKING SITES TO SHARE PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS WHAT WE GENERALLY FACE IN OUR LIVES. SOMETIMES WE DON'T FIND AN EFFICIENT PERSON TO SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS AND IN SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES, I THINK, ITS ONLY NETWORKING SITES WHO BECOME A PATHFINDER TO A PERSON WHO IS IN NEED OF HELP (EITHER PROFESSIONAL OR PERSONAL).

AND I AGREE TO SOME EXTENT WITH MR.RAHUL NAYAK AS WELL THAT PEOPLE TEND TO FORGET ADDED FRIEND..AS FAR AS MY KNOWLEDGE IS CONCERNED THIS HAPPENS ONLY ON SITES LIKE ORKUT AND FACEBOOK. BUT WHEN IT COMES TO TOOSTEP.COM, I THINK PEOPLE OVER HERE KEEP IN MIND WHILE REFERRING AN ARTICLE, DEBATE OR WHATERVER IT IS, THAT, WHO WOULD BE THE FITTEST PERSON FOR THIS. THIS CLEARLY SHOWS THAT YOU ARE BEING TREATED AS AN EFFICIENT PERSON TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE. ITS REALLY NICE AND HEARTENING.

THANKS FOR REFERRAL DIPTI...

Well i will not fully Support but yes i think this social Networking site has brought our friends closer to us.When we are not in the town we can get the newz of our freinds and family from these Social Networking Sites as well as it saves money.Calling someone from India to USA is very costly so since we have these social networking sites we can easily contact our friends or relatives who are staying outside India..So it really helps us..with Social Networking sites.

An important implication is that diversified firms may trade at discounts even if diversification is a value-maximizing strategy. A poor match between organizational capabilities and businesses both generates a discount and causes the firm to diversify.
