According to global rating agency Moody's, Indian banking system has a negative credit outlook since the assets are of poor qualities. "The fundamental credit outlook for the Indian banking system remains negative, having changed from stable in January 2009”, said Moody's Investors Service division in its new Banking System Outlook on India report released. Do you agree that the Credit outlook of the Indian Banking System has gone low due to crisis? Comment yes or no..

I dont agree because these reports may reflect only the changes from the past which had happened recently. The provisional  policies and the bank reforms may reflect a huge change in the coming years. The final outcome would depend the future treatment of restructured loans by RBI, and whether the latter would be willing to provide additional forbearance to banks in this respect. The private sector banks and the PSUs are the next opporunities for the growth.

As i know, the main concern in the Indian banking system would be the deteriorating asset quality and the volume of restructured loans.The change in credit outlook reflects the deceleration of the Indian economy in the context
of the global financial turmoil and an increasingly bleak economic outlook, which, combined with higher loan delinquency rates, indicates a potential weakening in the asset quality of Indian banks.
