If termites won't, human pests will, that's all that matters anyway!!!

It is paper. Improperly stored termites can eat it up. But this can happen in the home of a "baniya" who will have a cupboard of cash. It is a very plausible event if they are not careful. But banks have no business storing money in cupboards - they are in the business of circulating money in order to make more money. Statement coming from a bank makes it suspicious.

Yes Sharmila Termite can do that since I lost a few rupees to it but cld recover a few bits & pieces of currency. Banks especially PSU's donot care for pest & termite control. Even termites could able to bring down your flat by eating away your foundation pillars if not treated properly. No surprise Sharmila.

It is possible becuz how currency is stored in the banks. Banks have to be regular in remitting their soiled cash to Reserve Bank of India. The disbursement of cash should also be done from various bins in the chests. If you load a bin which has a capacity of 150 bundles in case of 100 & 500 notes less for 1000 notes, 200 bundles in case of smaller notes. Unless keeps changing the notes in the bins on a regular basis for sorting etc and forgets some bins for a long time this is possible. Factual incidents have come out in RBI inspections of Currency chests across the country. Banks should also be regular in spraying the note bundles with antitermite solutions to prevent such a thing from happening.

Sharmila it is possible. it clearly shows the notes are kept together at a different place in ground floor unattended for years. There may be some sinister move is there. In USA in case of fire there is a department who comes and checks the burned notes and change the same.

A baniya who has stacked money in his house or underground, maybe yes. But in a BAANK - NO, NO, NO. Only way for the bank to "prove" it is to show the "remnenants" of the notes

Nothing is impossible in the game of politics becoz they are having pseudo limbs which they use to grab the wealth easily. They make schemes not for the welfare of people but the easy way to grab the money. Eventually, scheme does not reach the needy and poor becomes more poor day after the other. I have reflected that they have lost their conscience and are suffering from some phobia to become more and more rich. They are inhuman in the guise of political leaders.

We will have more food for termites, if the Government withdraws notes of denomination Rs. 500 and Rs.1000/-! Our swindlers have more stories in store, and this is a feeler!
