Absolutely and blame it on bad hiring policies / hr executives and also lack of innovation and motivation from the top for this sad state of affairs.

I support this side, the creativity needs others support to grow in a big way. The creativity with giants in our country is able to implement their ideas and the creativity with people in the middle class or in the lower level is not to able to bring shape for their innovations for want of finance and political support. Sometimes the creativity & the innovations are purchased from them by the rich people to make money or our creativity goes to abroad for the development and better salaries. Our country has lost several technocrats, scientists, engineers, doctors etc for want of proper laboratories and R&D facilities. Even in organizations the credit for the creativity and the innovative achievements done by the team members are not properly encouraged by their immediate bosses taking the credit. Thanks Ms.Shweta Nigam for the referral.

Yes ,very true .Indians have very strong talent to create technology and self sufficiency but at the same time psychological approch is big obstacle no gurantee that indian supports for indian know how and developments. every area of work IT , Oil, Defence , Railways , Aerospace ,industries even education now engg is sw language base. . Indian is not self sufficient almost 60 to 70 % knowhow in every technology is brought and transferred from abroad. .Just talk and brain frying nothing more. India is still having railways which is 20-025 yrs old system . Aeroplanes all imported . defence 60% imported mechanicisms. Indians have to evaluate and implement and make new constructive style. just softskills are hard oppositions.

Yes, Jobs affect innovative ideas & minds. The schedule & work load of a job, now a days, is tremendously increased. So there is no time to work on new ideas. As a person of R&D, I meet more than 50 people in a month, most of them always say that they have an idea but there is no time to work on. That's why a new platform should be there to assist & work for these ideas.

I would prefer to say NO,because creativity can be applied in most mundane jobs also, the best exampls is Nek Chand in Chandigarh,a small time person, doing a very humble, menial job,he could have grumbled like others in his profession, but NO,he was creative,he applied his mind, created the famous Rock Garden out of waste & now it is the most famous tourist attraction of Chandigarh

Honestly speaking, indians lack creativity as we always ape the west, there is always a contridiction in the thought process of the people due to which creativity is killed to the maximum extent, so we advertising professionals innovate always to ensure the creativity is sustained with in, that could be used for ourself to put into practise.

Thanks Sweta for referral. I agree with you Hari but remember the amount they spent on R&D we dont spend anything at all so naturally all the innovations will happen in west. The day we spent on R&D there will hardly be any country who will be able to beat us on innovations.
