You are cent per cent correct! PREVENTION is BETTER than CURE! Prevent yourself approaching a DOCTOR to CURE yourself from any ailment! Profession is thriving - becoming a "two-way traffic"! Race after Material would certainly bring DISCOMFORT!

I wish all of you read the article by Dr.Hegde in The Hindu. http://www.hindu.com/op/2010/10/24/stories/2010102450051200.htm. It is 95% rot sir. They are just money making mongers who are ready to make money out of your misery. I am not saying it. What i am saying is why not they keep aside their exploiting people and be ethical in their diagnosis. Let us have doctors like Dr.Binayak Sen.

I agree both with Sujatha and Muralidharan.Nowadays you go to a doctor for check up for any problem that you are suffering, you are never cured by two visits. You have to come back to him again and thats for sure.

I agree with what muralidharan said. It has become a two way traffic. Once u consult a doctor, he makes sure you again come back to him...

I have seen many doctors but few of them, may be 5%, bring bad repute to their coleagues. So far as commercialism is concerned, which profession is not commercialized ? Medicine and Teaching are considered to be noble professions. Atleast Medicine is better compared to teaching, now a days !
