HR is considered to be one of the important departments of an organization. But there still lies a dilemma, whether it is "cost centre" for the organisation of the "profit centre"?

It is long since the name Human Resources been changed to Human Capital. With the Human Capital alone a organization can be a profitable one. So it goes with out mentioning that Human Resources is a profit centre.

What do we mean when we say a " ORGANISATION"? According to me we definitely we talk about people and not about the walls of an organisation. Therefore where HR deals with people who work in an organisation it is definitely a profit centre. A organisation cannot work or make profit/loss without its employees.
